Minimum instructions takes a long time to run, who knew? It’s funny, my first solution took over 30,000 cycles. I was sitting here for so long, I planted a bonsai seed, and now look at it! I’m just glad I got the cycle count down from there because scrolling to cycle 25,000 to change a command gets really annoying.

I’m so proud of this machine, this is my favorite submission all tournament, and is a contender for my best Opus Magnum creation ever. It’s hilariously inefficient, good at its metric, and looks cool while doing it. Most of my tournament time was spent optimizing it, which is funny because I have no clue if it’s actually a good solution. I spent all my time making this specific design as good as possible, and next to no time looking for other solution paths. While that would usually bother me, I had so much fun on this beast, that I didn’t want to try anything else. Even if I overlooked something better, I’m just glad to create something like this :)

Enjoy!
